Fresh Air Spring Break Nature Camp
Camps for kids ages 5 to 12 are provided during Spring Break and Summer. Camps are a fun opportunity to explore, learn new skills, make new friends and build community. Our Reggio inspired model encourages children and families to learn, explore, discover and connect. Before and after camp care is also available. Discover your inner adventurer at Alexandra Neighbourhood House!
In addition, join us weekly over the summer for Neighbourhood Fun Nights and for other family-focused community events throughout the year.

School's Out Program
An after-school program is provided at local elementary schools for children ages 5 to 12. Schools will be confirmed soon. Call 604-535-0015 ext 229 for information and registration.
Out-of-School Care Program
Before- and after-school care, as well as Pro-D days and school breaks, provided for children ages 5-12 at both Camp Alexandra in Crescent Beach, and Kensington Prairie Community Centre. Transportation is provided from Ocean Cliff, Rosemary Heights and Pacific Heights. Call 604-535-0015 for information and registration.
Services to Strengthen Families:
Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides one-to-one services for families seeking support and resources. Staff assist parents and caregivers in developing knowledge, skills, community connections to support them in their journey as parents. Parent Education Workshop Series: Parenting is full of joys and challenges at every age and stage. The Positively Parenting Workshop Series has four interactive workshops designed to empower, connect and support parents of children and youth ages 6-18. Topical information, resources, meaningful activities and role-plays are provided to practice and facilitate discussion. Workshops also give parents the opportunity to connect, share with and support one another. Each workshop can stand-alone, so parents can choose to attend just one workshop or all, depending on needs and interests. These free, popular workshops are a great way to meet other parents, share ideas, and gain new perspectives. Limited childminding for ages 12 and under available through the recreation centre, for a fee, during workshops.
